South Africa, what happened to ubuntu?

2008. 2015. 2019. And now again.

Shops torched. Homes emptied. Livelihoods crushed. Nigerians, Zimbabweans, Mozambicans, Somalis fellow Africans who crossed borders chasing the same dignity South Africans once bled for.

This isn't crime. It's a pattern.

For a nation whose freedom was bankrolled by African blood, sweat, and solidarity, these attacks aren't just shameful they're a betrayal of the highest order. You don't burn your neighbor's shop, loot his life, and call it "isolated criminality." Not when it keeps happening. Not when the victims look exactly like the people who once carried your struggle on their backs.

South Africa isn't just disgracing itself. It's spitting on the very continent that set it free.
