Has anyone been following the story of the "wig girl"?

One part of the story keeps bothering me. If the young woman is an adult, and her mother has already consented to the free dental treatment, why would an aunt be determined to stop it?

Sometimes, the greatest opposition doesn't come from strangers but from people we call family. Not every battle is fought outside the home. Some are fought within it.

This isn't to say every relative who disagrees has bad intentions. Family members can have genuine concerns, and we shouldn't assume motives without knowing the full story. But it is also true that some people, out of jealousy, control, pride, or unresolved issues, can become obstacles to another person's progress.

It reminds us to be discerning. Not everyone who bears your surname necessarily has your best interests at heart.

May God surround us with family members who encourage our growth, celebrate our progress, and genuinely desire our well-being. 🙏

Obafemi EMILOLA, FIMC, CMC®: Yes, I have
God has really changed her story
Her mockers have brought her to her lime light
I'm so happy for the progress
Mild Uchenna: Most times is good for someone to stand on his or her feet. Some decisions don't need the permission to take.
Blessing Ojoma Onakpa: The lady in question is an adult why does
She need a consent of a relative for God’s sake…what rubbish
Like minds🫂: I feel poverty has a very big role to play here, probably the Aunty feels entitled because maybe she was the one paying her school fees of taking care of her and her family.
The enemy within.
Rejoice Osunwoke: I don't know a thing about their story but I think I have seen these pictures somewhere.

But I still don't understand why the aunt feels she has that kind of right over her. It's about fixing her teeth, is there anything wrong with that.🤷
Leslie: This is so true.
Not every opposition comes from outside.
Discernment + prayer is key. May God give us the right people around us 🙏
Linzkits: That is what i call... VILLAGE PEOPLE...

They naturally oppose you because they feel the privilege should have been theirs,
AOJ: If she is an adult and mentally competent, she does not require the consent of her aunt for any medical treatment. Section 37 of the 1999 Constitution (as altered) protects a person's privacy, which our courts have interpreted to include medical privacy and the choice of what happens to one's body....
Mathew Clinton: We really need to be careful, most especially with making decisions
Comfort Yako Asala: Amen 🙏🏼
The aunt is the enemy within that we always talk about 😕
