SAFE IN HIS HANDS.

Many believers struggle with assurance because they do not fully trust the finished work of Christ. They imagine that when a Christian sins, God abandons them or suspends His work in their life. But the Scriptures reveal a God who is faithful to His promises. Philippians 1:6 declares, "Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ." God does not start a project and leave it unfinished. Unlike human institutions that abandon projects halfway, God completes everything He begins. If He has given you eternal life through Christ, He will bring His work to completion.

Many people find this difficult to believe because they do not fully trust the integrity of God or the sufficiency of Christ's finished work. They assume that when a believer sins, God changes His mind about them. But God's faithfulness is not based on our performance—it is based on His unchanging character. 2 Timothy 2:13 says, "If we are faithless, He remains faithful, for He cannot deny Himself." Salvation is God's work from beginning to end. When we ask, "What does God do when a believer sins?" the answer is found in the gospel. God does not cast away His child; instead, He remains faithful to His covenant. Christ's sacrifice was complete, and believers are called to walk in the light of that grace, trusting the God who always keeps His Word. John 10:28-29 assures us that no one can snatch God's children out of His hand, because the God who saves is also the God who preserves.
