What do you really think is the root cause of band!try and @rm r0bbery in the society?

This is my answer..
I don't think there's one single root cause. Banditry and armed robbery are often driven by a combination of poverty, unemployment, poor education, drug abuse, corruption, weak law enforcement, and the breakdown of family and societal values. While these factors may increase the risk of crime, they do not excuse criminal behavior—every individual is still responsible for their actions.

I also believe rehabilitation should be part of the solution, but it has to be effective. In Nigeria, we've seen cases where some rehabilitated criminals return to crime, sometimes becoming even more dangerous. This often raises questions about the quality of rehabilitation, post-release monitoring, and reintegration into society. Rehabilitation should include psychological support, education, vocational training, and continuous supervision. However, those who repeatedly engage in violent crimes despite being given opportunities to reform should face the full weight of the law.

In the end, reducing crime requires more than arrests. We need to tackle the root causes, strengthen our justice system, invest in genuine rehabilitation, and ensure that those who refuse to change are held fully accountable. Only then can we hope to build a safer society.
