Nollywood actor Charles Okocha finally got his revenge after being declared the winner of his celebrity boxing rematch against street-pop singer Habeeb Okikiola, popularly known as Portable, following the singer’s disqualification on Friday.

The much-talked-about bout, tagged “Unfinished Business,” was held at the Balmoral Convention Centre, Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos. The event was organised as a rematch after their controversial first encounter, which Charles Okocha insisted was wrongly awarded in Portable’s favour.

Portable started the fight strongly and appeared to have the upper hand during the early exchanges. However, the contest quickly turned chaotic as both fighters abandoned boxing for a wrestling-style struggle, forcing the referee to repeatedly step in and separate them. The opening round eventually ended in confusion, with security personnel and bodyguards entering the ring to restore order.

Drama unfolded before the second round could begin when Portable suddenly walked out of the ring, leaving fans shocked. His exit was met with loud boos from spectators, including those in the VIP section. Although he was later convinced to return, officials ruled that he had abandoned the fight and disqualified him for failing to return for Round 2, handing Charles Okocha a revenge victory.

Before stepping into the ring, Portable had spoken emotionally backstage while carrying his son, saying, “I am not happy, but I want God to make me happy and my family.”

The result marks a dramatic reversal for the controversial singer, who won their first encounter and had confidently declared during the final weigh-in that he remained the better fighter. This time, however, Charles Okocha walked away with the victory after Portable’s disqualification.
