A man walked up to a woman selling sugar and other grocery items and said, "I want to buy disaccharide." The woman replied, "I don't have it." Yet she actually had table sugar for sale. The problem was not the absence of the product but the absence of the scientific vocabulary. She knew it as sugar, not as disaccharide.
