*TOPIC: SECRET OF DIVINE PROVISION*

*SCRIPTURE:* As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God. My soul thirsteth for God, for the living God… PSALM 42:1–2.

*THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:* Genuine devotion to God positions a person for supernatural provision, lasting supplies, and durable riches.

Scripture makes it clear that God is not against the prosperity of His children. Throughout the Scripture, men and women who genuinely pursued God, loved His Presence, and lived uprightly never ended in shame, scarcity, or emptiness. Their lives confirmed that it is impossible to follow God sincerely and end in disgrace.

In fact, God Himself declares in Isaiah 45:19 that He does not call His people into fellowship with Him in vain or for futility.

I have not said unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain.

This means that seeking God is never a wasted effort; it always produces visible evidence in a believer’s life. The God we serve is the Owner of heaven and earth, and those who walk closely with Him gain access to supernatural provisions, durable riches, and lasting supplies.

*Today, we shall be looking at people in Scripture who experienced supernatural abundance and lifting by virtue of their devotion to God*

*1. David*
David was a man passionately devoted to God and to the cause of God’s House (Psalm 122:1). His devotion did not end in poverty, but in abundance and supernatural supplies (Psalm 27:4). David pursued prosperity for kingdom purposes, and God placed supernatural abundance in his hands (1 Chronicles 29:2–5).

*2. Uzziah*
Uzziah prospered as long as he sought God. His story shows that prosperity flows in the direction of genuine pursuit of God, and that when spiritual passion declines, prosperity often declines as well (2 Chronicles 26:5).

*3. Daniel*
Daniel was a man of rigid consecration and uncompromising devotion to God (Daniel 1:8). Neither governmental decrees nor the resistance of opposition could stop his devotion to God. And as a result, God lifted him into the realms of honour, influence, and authority (Daniel 2:48).

*Now, what constitutes our devotion to God?*

*i.* Our personal relationship with God: There must be a buoyant personal relationship with God. Beyond church attendance, every believer must maintain a personal altar of prayer, Word study, and fellowship with God. The church is for refuelling and reinforcement, but our personal devotional fire must be maintained and kept burning.

*ii.* Good public testimony about our Christian life: There must be a good public testimony of our Christian life and faith. Daniel 6:4–5 reveals that Daniel’s enemies could not find fault in him except in matters concerning his relationship with God.

Your Christianity must reflect in your character, conduct, speech, integrity, and lifestyle. God cannot publicly distinguish a person who is publicly ashamed of Him.

*iii*. Financial Integrity and Obedience to God: There must be proven financial integrity and obedience to God. God does not endorse crookedness, bribery, dishonesty, or corruption. Financial crookedness destroys divine supplies, but integrity opens the door for durable riches. Kingdom prosperity flows through kingdom principles, and what principles will do, prayer alone cannot do.

*Beloved* , those who genuinely seek God never end in shame. When you pursue Him passionately and walk in integrity, He will position you for supernatural abundance and lasting supplies.

*REMEMBER THIS:* Genuine devotion to God positions a person for supernatural provision, lasting supplies, and durable riches.

*ASSIGNMENT(S):*

*2*. Refuse every form of compromise and financial crookedness.

*3.* Pursue God passionately and obey His principles wholeheartedly.

*PRAYER* : Father, draw me closer to Yourself and help me to pursue You with all my heart. Deliver me from compromise and help me to walk in integrity, obedience, and devotion, Lord, in Jesus’ Name.
