In Adam, death used to rule over every man. In Christ, grace now rules. Every believer who receives God's gift is called to reign in life, not to be ruled by death any longer.

“For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, Jesus Christ.”

THE REAL CHRISTIAN PROBLEM
Many believers live as if death is still their king. They feel ruled by sickness, fear, sin, or failure, as though these things must always win. They forget that a new King has already taken over their life.

REFLECTION
One man's sin opened the door for death to rule the whole human family. That man was Adam. But God did not leave us there. He sent Jesus Christ. Because of what Christ did, everyone who receives His gift of righteousness (being made right and fully accepted before God) now lives under a new rule, the rule of grace (God's free gift of love and power, which we do not earn). This means death is no longer your king. Grace is your king now. And grace does not want you defeated. Grace wants you crowned. From today, stop trying to fight your way up to victory. You are already reigning in life in Christ Jesus. Sickness is not your king. Fear is not your king. Sin is not your king. Grace rules, and grace has already won.

I am not a slave to death. I am a carrier of grace. Righteousness rules my life, and I reign in life in Christ Jesus.

PRACTICAL APPLICATION
• Stop describing your life the way death describes it.
• Say out loud, “Grace rules my life,” every morning this week.
• Write down one area where fear or sickness has felt like a king over you, and hand it to God in prayer today.
• Read Romans 5:17 slowly, three times, before you sleep tonight.
• Thank God today for the gift of righteousness.

CONFESSION OF FAITH AND REALITY
I receive the abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness today. Death does not reign over me. I reign in life in Christ Jesus. I am seated with Him, clothed in His righteousness, and I live as one who reigns, not as a victim.
