LEGACY
Seconds passed.
Minutes gone.
Days unfolded into years,
Years into centuries.

What have I done?
What lives on,
After I have walked the path of righteousness?
What footprints do I leave behind?

Life is short.
But accountability is what every soul
Must face on the last day.
Life is only a trust.

One day, the Creator can take back
The greatest gift that He gave to mankind.
What part did I contribute
To the growth of His kingdom?

Life wasn't taken seriously,
Until men realized that it was only a vapor.
Disappearing and vanishing as the smoke –
Anytime the Creator said so.

A long life –
Doesn't mean a life well spent.
Not in duration, but in humble contributions,
That withstood the test of time.

From that day onward,
I walked in this mindset that –
Life is living a life full of legacies,
To be remembered for years to come.

Live right.
Nations are counting on you.
Lives are tied to you.
Let your legacy still be heard,
After you may have disappeared.
