Tyla Removes Lagos From A*POP World Tour
South African Grammy-winning singer Tyla has removed Lagos from the schedule of her upcoming A*POP World Tour, just days after initially announcing the Nigerian city as one of 34 tour stops. An updated itinerary on her official website no longer includes Lagos, although no official reason has been provided for the change.
The development comes amid heightened tensions between Nigeria and South Africa over recent xenophobic attacks targeting Nigerians and other African migrants. The removal follows growing calls by some Nigerians for Tyla’s Lagos concert to be cancelled, though neither the singer nor her management has linked the decision to the controversy.
