Your Excellency President Tinubu, governors in the 36 states 774 LGA 240 million Nigerians are writing to express a matter of urgent national importance regarding transportation infrastructure, public safety, youth employment, and responsible use of public funds across all 36 states and the 774 Local Government Areas.
Nigeria’s roads remain congested, unsafe, and inefficient—not only because of infrastructure gaps but also due to the absence of modern traffic management systems. We respectfully request immediate action to install standardized traffic lights, CCTV systems, and drone‑supported monitoring across all states and LGAs. These systems would:
Improve traffic flow and reduce accidents
Reduce reliance on manual traffic control
Enhance security and monitoring capabilities
Create millions of technical and operational jobs for Nigerian youths and graduates
We also demand abolishing away from expensive flyover projects that do not address the core issues of traffic discipline, road maintenance, and modern traffic management. Instead, we demand for investment in:
High‑quality road repairs and maintenance
Functional traffic lights at all major intersections
CCTV and drone surveillance for real‑time monitoring
Free electricity supply to support these systems
Free public Wi‑Fi/data in all 36 states 774 LGA centers to support digital growth
These initiatives would create sustainable employment opportunities for our population of over 240 million, especially young Nigerians seeking meaningful work.
Additionally, we demand for urgent police reforms to ensure that law enforcement focuses on protecting 240 million Nigerians, responding to emergencies, and rescuing kidnapped children who have been missing since 1999. Traffic management should be modernized through technology, not solely through manual policing.
With all due respect sirs/madam, we demand that these actions be taken immediately—without delays, slogans, or unfulfilled promises. Nigeria deserves functional infrastructure, safe roads, and a future where technology supports governance.
Respectfully to estemmed Nigerians in the 36 states 774 LGA while infrastructure is essential, we also acknowledge that responsible driving, patience, and discipline among Nigerian motorists are equally important. Good roads alone cannot fix reckless driving, but modern systems combined with citizen responsibility can transform our transportation experience. We humbly ask these favor sirs/madams
Thank you for your attention to this urgent matter. We look forward to decisive action that reflects the needs and aspirations of all Nigerians in the 36 states 774 LGA
