Unpopular Opinion: The world does not reward good people. It rewards valuable people.

There are countless honest, kind, and hardworking people struggling to make ends meet. At the same time, there are people with exceptional skills, influence, and the ability to solve problems who continue to attract opportunities.

Good character is admirable, but character alone rarely creates opportunities. The marketplace rewards value, competence, visibility, results, and impact.

Being a good person may earn you respect. Being valuable earns you relevance.

So instead of asking, "Am I a good person?" perhaps the better question is, "What problem can I solve that people are willing to reward?"
