WHAT'S FORGIVENESS?

Forgiveness is not the same as reconciliation.

Someone can genuinely forgive you and still choose not to restore the relationship or trust you again. Forgiveness is an internal decision to let go of anger, bitterness, and the desire for revenge.
They may still greet you when they see you. They may wish you well and hold no resentment toward you. But that does not mean they are obligated to give you access to their life again.
Sometimes, forgiveness says, "I have let go of the hurt." But wisdom says, "Access denied."
