Your Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Your Excellency Minister Nyesom Wike, All Governors of the 36 States, All Chairpersons of the 774 Local Government Areas, 240 million Nigerians are writing to express the deep frustration, pain, and disappointment felt by millions of Nigerians—both at home and in the diaspora—following the recent demolitions that have destroyed homes, businesses, and livelihoods across the country.

For decades, Nigerians abroad have been encouraged to return home and invest. Many believed in that promise. Many took loans, sold assets, and uprooted their families to contribute to the nation’s growth. Yet today, those same Nigerians are watching their investments bulldozed without proper notice, without due process, and without compassion.

The recent case of Mr. Charles Avwenagha, a UK‑based Nigerian who borrowed £75,000 to build a business in Abuja, is only one example. His business was demolished without warning, leaving 84 staff unemployed. Another diaspora investor, Mr. Clem Aris, suffered the same fate. These incidents are not isolated—they reflect a growing pattern that is causing fear, hardship, and hopelessness among citizens.

Nigeria has more than 240 million Nigerians who are struggling with poverty, hunger, unemployment, insecurity, and rising costs of living. Many feel abandoned. Many feel unheard. Many feel betrayed by leaders who promised relief but delivered suffering.

We respectfully demand the following:

Immediate compensation for all Nigerians whose homes and businesses have been demolished—both within Nigeria and abroad.

Transparent investigation into demolition practices and enforcement actions carried out without proper notice.

A national housing program funded by recovered public funds to provide free, safe homes for citizens.

Investment in new schools, hospitals, and agricultural programs across all 36 states and 774 LGAs.

Free education up to the PhD level, as promised in various reform agendas.

Restoration of stable electricity, affordable data, and reliable infrastructure.

Immediate action to rescue all kidnapped children and citizens who have been missing since 1999.

Nigerians are asking for leadership that listens, leadership that protects, and leadership that acts. We ask that you fulfill the promises made to the nation—promises of light, security, opportunity, and dignity.

If meaningful change cannot be delivered within the current term, we demand you to consider stepping aside, just as leaders in other democracies have done when they could not meet the expectations of their people.

Nigeria deserves better. Nigerians deserve better. The world is watching, and history will remember how this moment was handled.

We demand for immediate action. No lies, no slogan
