12-Year-Old Lagos Inventor Wins International Ear Care Award for Safety Sleepwear

A 12-year-old Nigerian boy, Joshua Obadin, has won one of ten top spots in the IDEASforEARS Children's Invention Contest, securing an all-expenses-paid trip to Austria, hearing implant company MED-EL announced.

The Lagos-based innovator was honored for designing a sleepwear cover meant to protect his friend, Master Mikel, who relies on a cochlear implant to hear.
