Nigeria’s political class often behaves with a sense of entitlement, largely because of the huge public funds they receive through salaries, allowances, and other benefits. Many politicians finish one public role only to circle back into another — from government office to the Senate, House of Assembly, ministerial positions, or heading agencies — instead of investing in businesses that create jobs or establishing charitable initiatives that support the less privileged.
