🔐 Freedom Factory ships quantum-secure hardware wallet for EVM chains

Freedom Factory has launched PQ1, a hardware wallet it describes as the first designed to withstand quantum computing attacks on Ethereum and other EVM-compatible blockchains.

CEO Markus Haas says the device is built around post-quantum cryptography and that users can construct it themselves. Bitcoin was deliberately excluded from the design, though the source does not detail the technical reasoning behind that decision.

Quantum computing is increasingly cited as a long-term threat to current cryptographic standards, and PQ1 represents one of the first commercial responses targeting EVM wallet security specifically.
