🔵 Xabi Alonso has made his expectations clear ahead of Chelsea's clash with Tottenham.

The Chelsea boss praised new signing Maxence Lacroix, describing him as a reliable defender with leadership qualities and a winning mentality. He believes the Frenchman will strengthen the team's backline for years to come.

Alonso also had plenty of praise for Cole Palmer, calling him a future leader and insisting that a happy, confident Palmer will bring out the best in Chelsea. He added that discipline and teamwork give creative players the freedom to shine.

On Moisés Caicedo, Alonso didn't hold back, describing the Ecuadorian as one of the best defensive midfielders in the world. He also confirmed that Roméo Lavia is fit for the Tottenham game and welcomed Nicolas Jackson back into the squad.
