Saudi Arabia has officially launched a new international maritime security coalition in the Red Sea, with 14 countries joining the initiative to protect commercial shipping and ensure freedom of navigation. 5 of the 14 countries are African.

These countries are:

โ€ข Egypt ๐Ÿ‡ช๐Ÿ‡ฌ
Nigeria ๐Ÿ‡ณ๐Ÿ‡ฌ

โ€ข Sudan ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ‡ฉ

the initiative aims to forcefully reopen the strait, whether Yemen likes it or not.
