BROOK CHERITH AND ZAREPHATH |

📖 1 KINGS 17:3–4 (KJV)
Get thee hence, and turn thee eastward, and hide thyself by the brook Cherith... And it shall be, that thou shalt drink of the brook; AND I HAVE COMMANDED THE RAVENS TO FEED THEE THERE.

📖 1 KINGS 17:9 (KJV)
ARISE, GET THEE TO ZAREPHATH... behold, I HAVE COMMANDED A WIDOW WOMAN THERE TO SUSTAIN THEE.

God instructed Elijah to go first to Brook Cherith and later to Zarephath. Each location carried a different dimension of divine provision.

At Brook Cherith, ravens; birds not known for generosity fed him during a severe famine. At Zarephath, a poor widow who was preparing her last meal became the channel of God's supernatural abundance because she obeyed His instruction.

This teaches us that God's blessings are often connected to specific places and specific people at specific times.

Being outside God's timing or location can delay or even cause you to miss what He has prepared for you.

Ask yourself: Are you where God wants you to be, or are you merely moving about without His direction?

The right place and the right relationships under God's leading can change the course of your life.

May you never be at Zarephath when God has ordained Brook Cherith for you, and may you never miss your divinely appointed place or people, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
