While we all agree that people’s opinions don’t always matter, can we also agree that in some cases, they do? Especially the opinions of people who genuinely love you.

Experience often comes with age. That doesn’t mean every older person is wise, but it does mean they’ve likely seen things that a younger person hasn’t. Because of that, they’re often in a better position to guide and advise.

Many of the choices we make today shape the lives we’ll live tomorrow. Young people need room to learn, but they also need guidance. Sometimes, one sincere conversation can prevent years of regret.

So if there’s a younger person in your life walking a path that may not end well, don’t keep quiet. Speak with love. Share your experience. You may be the reason they make a better turn.
