Whether or not they bear direct responsibility, resigning can demonstrate respect for the office they hold and for the citizens they serve. The absence of such accountability leaves many Nigerians feeling that public office is viewed as a privilege to be protected rather than a responsibility to be upheld.
Nigeria deserves leadership that values integrity, transparency, and accountability.
