My people, one thing we need to stop doing is cutting corners.
Just because something worked for someone else doesn’t automatically mean it will work for you.
Your neighbor had a natural birth, so you insist on having one even when your doctor recommends a different approach. Another person stopped breastfeeding after two months, so you decide to do the same without considering your own baby or your own circumstances.
Why?
If you know the right thing to do, please do it.
A mad person can drink water from the gutter and survive. Does that mean you should try it too? Of course not.
Knowledge is power, but knowledge without action is useless. Once you know something is harmful and you still choose it because you’re trying to cut corners or copy someone else, you’re only putting yourself at risk.
As the world keeps advancing, we also have to advance in our thinking. We need to become more informed, more disciplined, and more intentional with our decisions. Stop making important life choices based on what worked for somebody else. Make them based on knowledge, wisdom, and the facts that apply to you.
When you know better, do better.
