Tolu Arokodare's first day at Ajax was a celebration.

Ajax has reached an agreement with Wolverhampton Wanderers regarding the loan signing of Tolu Arokodare. The 25-year-old striker joins Ajax on a one-season loan deal until the summer of 2027. The agreement includes an option to buy for Ajax.

Arokodare (Festac, Nigeria, November 23, 2000) began his career in his homeland with Box2Box FC. In 2019, the forward moved to Europe and signed for Latvian side Valmiera FC. The ten-cap Nigeria international subsequently played for 1. FC Köln and Amiens SC before continuing his career with KRC Genk in the winter of 2023. At the Belgian club, he finished as the top scorer in the Jupiler Pro League during the 2024/2025 season. In mid-2025, Arokodare completed a move to English club Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Technical director Jordi Cruijff said: "With Tolu, we are bringing in a striker with a profile that we did not previously have in the squad. He is a physically strong player who has already proven himself to be a goalscorer. We are confident that he will make an important contribution to the team next season."

Congratulations!.
