Amusan Clocks Games Record 12.19s to Reach 100m Hurdles Final

Nigeria's Tobi Amusan stormed into the women's 100m hurdles final at the 2026 Commonwealth Games in Glasgow with a dominant heat performance on Thursday.

The world record holder clocked 12.19 seconds to win her heat — the fastest time ever recorded in the event's history at the Commonwealth Games, and the third quickest of her career.

South Africa's Marione Fourie also qualified from the same heat. Amusan will now be the heavy favourite heading into the final.
