During the House of Representatives investigation into the controversial Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC), Hon. Yusuf Gagdi made a striking revelation.

According to him, the signatures attributed to the Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu on appointment letters for nine federal agencies were confirmed to be genuine, while only the appointment letter naming the Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC) was alleged to be fake.

The agencies Hon. Gagdi listed include:

✅ Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA)
✅ Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA)
✅ Nigerian Shippers' Council (NSC)
✅ National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA)
✅ Nigerian Railway Corporation (NRC)
✅ Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN)
✅ Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA)
✅ Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet)
✅ Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA)

❌ The only appointment said to be fake was that of the Director-General of the Presidential Foreign Investment Promotion Council (PFIPC).

This revelation has sparked fresh questions among Nigerians:

- If the Chief of Staff's signatures on the other appointment letters were authentic, how did only the PFIPC appointment become "fake"?
- Who inserted PFIPC into the 2026 Appropriation Act with over ₦1.3 billion in budgetary allocation?
