Marriage is one of the biggest decisions you'll ever make.

Love is important, but love alone cannot sustain a lifelong commitment.
Before saying "I do," consider these:

Choose character over chemistry.
Attraction may bring you together, but character keeps a marriage together.

Talk about health.
Be honest about your physical and mental health. Discuss your genotype, blood group, family medical history, and consider premarital medical screening. These conversations are not about fear or judgment—they're about making informed decisions together.

Observe how they handle conflict.
Do they communicate, apologise, and seek solutions, or do they insult, manipulate, or withdraw?

Watch how they treat others.
Respect shown to family, strangers, and service workers often reflects true character.

Discuss money and family.
Talk about finances, children, parenting, and expectations before marriage—not after.

Share values and faith.
Common values often sustain a marriage more than common interests.

Don't ignore red flags.
Abuse, dishonesty, addiction, controlling behaviour, and repeated disrespect rarely disappear after the wedding.

Watch them under pressure.
Difficult seasons often reveal who people truly are.

Don't marry hoping to change someone. Marriage doesn't transform character; it often reveals it.

Before you say "I do," ask yourself:
"Can I respect, trust, and stand beside this person through both the joyful and difficult seasons of life?"

A wedding lasts a day, but a marriage is built every day after that.

Choose wisely. 🙏❤️

Good afternoon, Lekeelekee Family. ❤️
Hope your day is going well.
