Ukwuani LGA Chairman Visits ICT Trainees, Reaffirms Commitment to Youth Empowerment
The Executive Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government Area, Barr. Solomon Possible Ajede, PhD, today paid a surprise visit to trainees at the Local Government ICT Centre as part of his administration's commitment to monitoring the progress of its youth empowerment programmes.
Addressing the trainees, the Chairman explained that the visit was aimed at seeing firsthand how they were faring in their training and encouraging them to remain focused and committed to acquiring valuable digital skills that would prepare them for future opportunities.
Barr. Ajede also
assured the participants that his administration is taking practical steps to ease the transportation challenges faced by many of the trainees. He noted that efforts are already underway to provide support that will reduce the financial burden of commuting to the training centre, ensuring that no participant is discouraged from completing the programme due to transportation costs.
He reiterated that youth development remains a top priority of his administration, emphasizing that investments in ICT and digital skills are essential to equipping young people with the knowledge needed to thrive in today's technology-driven world.
The visit further reflects the Ajede administration's unwavering commitment to empowering the youths of Ukwuani through impactful initiatives that promote skills acquisition, innovation, and sustainable economic development.
