The things we wish for that we are not bigger than, we eventually crumble under. We often measure our readiness by the intensity of our desire but desire is not the same as capacity. There are blessings that become burdens, opportunities that become pressures and positions that become prisons not because they are bad but because we have not yet grown bigger than them.

To be bigger than something is not about pride or superiority. It is about having the character, wisdom, discipline, emotional maturity and perspective to carry it without being consumed by it. This is why delay is not always denial. Sometimes life is enlarging you before enlarging your circumstances. If what you seek arrives before who you are has grown beyond it, the very thing you prayed for may become the reason you break. Growth is not just about getting more; it is about becoming bigger than what you are asking to receive.
