Tinubu is right that Nigeria's problems did not start with his administration. But Nigerians are equally right to judge his administration by whether their daily lives improve under his leadership.

The final verdict will not be decided by speeches about what was inherited or what existed before independence. It will be decided by results: whether the average Nigerian is safer, more prosperous, and more hopeful by the end of this administration than at the beginning.
