🇳🇬🇬 OFFICIAL: Tolu Arokodare Joins Ajax on Loan! 🔴⚪

A fresh chapter begins for Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare after completing a season-long loan move from Wolves to Dutch powerhouse Ajax.

The agreement includes an option for Ajax to make the transfer permanent for £22 million, while the Dutch club will pay an initial £1 million loan fee. Additional bonuses could also be triggered if Ajax qualifies for the league stage of a European competition.

Why Ajax?

Arokodare reportedly chose Ajax because they showed genuine commitment to bringing him in. The Dutch champions had been tracking him even before his move to Wolves, and their long-term interest played a major role in his decision.

The Super Eagles forward attracted attention from several European clubs, including Genoa, Fiorentina, Hamburger SV, and Trabzonspor. However, a switch to Fiorentina collapsed after both clubs failed to agree on the loan terms and wage structure, while the Nigerian forward was never interested in a move to Turkey despite Trabzonspor’s strong pursuit.

Ajax now offers Arokodare the perfect opportunity to play regular football, rebuild his confidence, and remind everyone of the quality that made him one of Nigeria’s most exciting attacking talents.
