Your Excellency President Tinubu, Lagos State Commissioner of Police, and All Police Commissioners Across the 36 States and 774 Local Government Areas, 240 million Nigerians are writing to express a deep concern shared by millions of Nigerians who believe strongly in the role of the Nigeria Police Force as a neutral, professional institution dedicated to protecting all citizens. While every Nigerian, including members of the police, has the right to support any political party of their choice, the responsibilities of your office demand strict neutrality in public conduct.

A recent viral video showing the Lagos State Commissioner of Police attending a partisan gathering in full uniform has raised serious questions about the integrity and neutrality of the police force. Such actions undermine public trust and give the impression that the police serve political interests rather than the Nigerian people.

For decades, boko haram and other violent groups have terrorized Nigerian communities, killing innocent men, women, and children. Nigerians continue to ask: when will the police and government fully commit to eradicating these threats? The nation expects decisive action, not political alignment.

Nigeria has over 240 million citizens who depend on you for safety, justice, and leadership. You work for the Nigerian people—not the other way around. If any leader or official is unwilling to prioritize the security and well-being of Nigerians, then stepping aside is the honorable path.

Past and present governments, opposition parties, independent candidates, courts, and agencies such as the EFCC have all fallen short of delivering the Nigeria our children deserve. As we approach future elections, Nigerians must vote wisely and refuse to trade their future for temporary gifts like akara/ corn.

Our children and grandchildren deserve a nation led by individuals with integrity, compassion, and genuine commitment to 240 million Nigerians. It is time for every public servant to reflect on their duty and act accordingly with all due respect sirs/madams
