8. Las Ramblas
Centuries ago, Las Ramblas was actually a seasonal riverbed outside the city walls. As Barcelona expanded, the river disappeared, and the area became a lively boulevard filled with artists, flower stalls, cafés, and street performers. Today, it's one of Europe's busiest pedestrian streets.

Las Ramblas (also called La Rambla) is Barcelona's most famous pedestrian boulevard, stretching about 1.2 km (0.75 miles) from Plaça de Catalunya to the Christopher Columbus Monument at Port Vell. It is one of Spain's most visited streets and is known for its lively atmosphere.
