🔐 India Busts Darknet Drug Ring With Binance's Help

India's Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has dismantled an alleged darknet drug network called "Team Kalki," with blockchain intelligence support from Binance and the Data Security Council of India.

Investigators used blockchain analysis to trace illicit crypto transactions, freeze the group's cryptocurrency assets, and disrupt its financial network. Despite operating on the darknet, the syndicate's use of crypto left a traceable on-chain trail that authorities were able to follow.

The case highlights the growing role of crypto exchanges cooperating with law enforcement to track and freeze illicit funds — and demonstrates that blockchain's transparency can work against criminal actors even when they attempt to obscure transactions.
