๐ก Opposition figure urges Tinubu to overhaul security strategy
Accord Party presidential candidate Dr. Gbenga Olawepo-Hashim has declared that Nigeria is "at war" and accused President Bola Tinubu of leading the country without a coherent strategy to defeat terrorism and restore national security.
In a statement released Tuesday, Olawepo-Hashim condemned recent killings in Kaduna, Zamfara and Plateau states, saying terrorists continue to "dictate the pace of war." He called for a full overhaul of Nigeria's security architecture.
The statement comes amid a sustained wave of armed attacks across Nigeria's north and Middle Belt regions, where banditry, herder-farmer conflicts and insurgency have caused significant civilian casualties in recent months.
