President Tinubu Approves ₦46bn for Kano Airport Runway Upgrade

The Federal Government has approved ₦46 billion for the resurfacing and reconstruction of the second runway at Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport (MAKIA), with about 60 per cent of the contract sum already disbursed and the contractor mobilised to site.

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, disclosed this on Tuesday while commissioning the newly remodelled Muhammadu Adamu Dankabo Domestic Terminal at the airport, describing the investment as part of President Bola Tinubu's push to position Kano among the world's leading international airports.
