TINUBU BRIEFED AFTER SOUTH AFRICA
ENVOY VISIT
President Bola Tinubu says the attacks on Nigerians and other Africans in South Africa are Afrophobic, calling for a united African response.
The position was conveyed by the Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Shola Enikanolaiye, after he briefed the President on talks with President Cyril Ramaphosa's special envoy. He said Nigeria and South Africa still differ over how the violence should be characterised, but agreed to activate an early warning mechanism as diplomatic engagement continues.
