Let Us Normalize the Concept of Audience.
One of the signs of maturity is understanding that not everything right is meant for us and not everything wrong is ours to fight. The missing ingredient in many conversations today is the understanding of audience.

A message can be true and still not be directed at you.
A criticism can be valid and still not describe your situation. A solution can work and still not be your solution.Context is the invisible framework that gives meaning to everything. A doctor does not prescribe the same treatment to every patient because every patient has a different condition. A teacher does not give the same lesson to every class because every learner has a different level of understanding. A parent does not raise every child in exactly the same way because every child has different needs.

The same applies to ideas, opinions and advice.
The mistake many people make is personalising everything they encounter. They hear a message meant for a particular audience and assume it is a direct attack on them. They reject wisdom because it does not fit their reality, or they accept advice that was never designed for their circumstances.
Maturity requires asking:
Who is this message for?
What problem is it addressing?
What assumptions are behind it?
Does this apply to my reality?

The absence of context creates confusion. The presence of context creates understanding.
Even truth requires the right audience. A hammer is a useful tool, but it is not the right tool for every task. A medicine can heal one person and harm another when used without understanding. The goal is not to agree with everything we hear or reject everything we dislike. The goal is to develop the wisdom to recognise what belongs to us and what does not. Wisdom is not only knowing what is true.Wisdom is knowing when, where and for whom that truth applies

Sieve through, choose what you take in, respond sometimes, ignore sometimes. Know yourself and then choose what audience you remain with.
