POULTRY EMPOWERMENT SCHEME BEGINS TO YIELD RESULTS IN UKWUANI LGA

The poultry farmers empowerment programme initiated by the Executive Chairman of Ukwuani Local Government Area, Barr. Solomon Possible Ajede, PhD, is already making a positive impact across the council area, as beneficiaries begin to establish and expand their poultry businesses.

One of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Veronica Owalegba from Obinomba, Ward 4, has taken practical steps towards establishing her own poultry farm following the empowerment initiative.

Her swift action reflects the effectiveness of the programme and demonstrates the Chairman's commitment to promoting self-reliance, boosting agricultural productivity, and creating sustainable sources of income for residents of Ukwuani LGA.

The success recorded by Mrs. Owalegba serves as an encouragement to other beneficiaries to maximise the opportunity provided through the empowerment scheme, which is aimed at improving livelihoods, enhancing food production, and stimulating economic growth across the local government.
