A watermark on social media is a semi-transparent logo, text, or platform stamp layered over a photo or video.

Key examples include TikTok's bouncing logo stamp, Instagram Reels' username tag, and photographers' custom corner signatures.

Purpose of Watermarks
1. Ownership: Proves who made the original piece of the work.
2. Promotions: Helps people find your page using a username or web link.
3. Platform tracking: Shows where a video or picture was first created.

In addition to that, there is invisible watermark. If you visit my PERSONAL ACCOUNT @Mummy G.O . Any of my video without visible watermark "Mummy G.O" still have it as invisible watermark.
