One of the most exhausting things about adulthood is realizing that no matter how good you are to people, you'll never be everyone's favorite person. Some will misunderstand you, some will dislike you for reasons they'll never explain, and some will simply outgrow you. That's life.
The need to constantly seek approval is a dangerous burden to carry. You begin to say "yes" when you mean "no," tolerate things that drain you, and sacrifice your peace just to maintain an image. Before long, you're living for other people's opinions instead of your own happiness.
In this Naija wey everybody get opinion, trying to be in everyone's good books is a full-time job with no salary. Protect your peace, set your boundaries, and accept that being respected is far more important than being liked.
Good morning, and do have a pleasant day βοΈ

You can be kind, genuine, and still not be everyoneβs cup of tea, and thatβs okay. Protecting your peace over chasing approval. Respect over likes. Boundaries over burnout. Good morning, and thank you for this reminder.
