Your Excellency President Tinubu, governors in the 36 states 774 LGA 240 million Nigerians are writing as concerned Nigerian who welcomes the launch of the Government Service Portal but also feels compelled to speak plainly about the realities that will determine whether this initiative succeeds.

The idea behind the portal is excellent. A unified gateway for government services can reduce bureaucracy, improve transparency, and make life easier for 240 million Nigerians. However, it cannot work as intended unless the foundational issues that have held Nigeria back for decades are addressed directly.

Most Nigerians still do not have reliable electricity. Many do not have affordable or consistent access to data or Wi-Fi. Without free or low‑cost access to power and connectivity, millions of Nigerians will be excluded from the very digital services meant to help them. This is why previous promises of nationwide free or subsidized internet access and improved power supply remain central to public trust.

We respectfully demand for clarity on the following:

When will the Government Service Portal be fully operational for everyday use?

What concrete steps are being taken to ensure that electricity and internet access are affordable enough for all Nigerians to use the portal?

What is the plan for staffing, maintaining, and scaling this system? Nigeria has over 240 million Nigerians, many of whom are skilled or aspiring IT professionals. How will they be included in the long‑term workforce needed to support and expand this digital infrastructure?

Nigerians do not want slogans or promises. We want timelines, transparency, and action. Digital transformation is only meaningful when every 240 million Nigerians can participate.

Thank you for your attention to these concerns. We demand this message contributes to a more inclusive and practical rollout of the Government Service Portal. No lies, no slogans
