🛡 Suspected herdsmen kill at least 13 in Benue attack

At least 13 people have been killed and several others are missing after suspected armed herdsmen attacked Efeyi community in Ugboju District, Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.

The attackers invaded the village on Tuesday, opening fire on residents. Thirteen bodies have been recovered so far, with some reports putting the death toll as high as 15. Several others were injured in the assault.

Benue State has long been a flashpoint for deadly clashes between farming communities and armed herdsmen, with recurring violence driving displacement and insecurity across the region.
