๐ฐ PayPal released its Q2 earnings report today.
Beyond the financial results, the company once again made it clear that stablecoins remain a key part of its long-term strategy.
PayPal said it is continuing to expand its stablecoin payments infrastructure, integrating it into its broader ecosystem alongside AI-powered payments, digital identity, and biometric technologies.
As a reminder, PayPal was one of the first major payment companies to launch its own U.S. dollar-backed stablecoin, PYUSD. Since then, the company has been steadily expanding its use cases for cross-border transfers, peer-to-peer payments, and merchant transactions.
Another clear sign that major players in traditional finance continue to invest heavily in the infrastructure powering digital dollars.
