One thing about me? I don’t really like confronting people about things they did that hurt me.

I’ve seen friendships go completely south after someone finally spoke up, so sometimes I’d rather just let it slide.

But if I’m being fair, I think those conversations are actually the fastest way to know where you stand with someone.

If I tell you something you did hurt me and your first reaction is to dismiss my feelings instead of trying to understand them, then maybe we were never as close as I thought.

Nobody gets it right all the time. We all make mistakes. But if my feelings don’t matter to you, then we no suppose be friends naw.

What’s your take? Do you confront people, or do you just quietly distance yourself?

If someone genuinely matters to me, I would rather have an honest conversation first because people aren’t mind readers and sometimes they don’t even realize they’ve hurt you. Their response to that conversation often tells you everything you need to know.

Mild Uchenna: It depends on the situation. Sometimes I'll speak up, but most times I choose to let it go, learn from it, and move on with the friendship. Not every hurt is worth losing a good relationship over.
