Assumption Is the Lowest Form of Thinking.

Assumption is one of the greatest enemies of wisdom. It fills the gaps where facts are missing and convinces us that what we think is true must be true.
Many broken relationships, failed businesses, damaged reputations, and unnecessary conflicts begin with a simple phrase: "I assumed."
Assumption requires no evidence, no verification, and no understanding. It is the mind drawing conclusions before gathering facts.

Wise people ask questions. They observe, They verify, They listen before they judge. Foolish assumptions, on the other hand, often lead to costly mistakes and regrets.
Imagine receiving a short message from a friend and assuming they are angry with you, only to discover later they were simply busy. Or assuming a colleague ignored your idea when, in reality, they never heard it. In both cases, the problem wasn't reality. It was the story your mind created.

Knowledge is built on facts. Wisdom is built on understanding. Assumption is built on imagination.
Before reacting, investigate. Before judging, understand. Before concluding, verify.
Never allow assumptions to replace facts, because assumptions create problems that truth could have prevented.

I am Mild Uchenna and yes Assumption can be dangerous.

Like minds🫂: Assumption is very dangerous especially in judging matters, you don't need to assume, you need verifiable facts and evidence. A young guy was kiîld few days ago in Jos because they assumed he stole an iPhone, which was later found after the guy has died .
Gladden Ngozi: One conversation can save a friendship. One question can save a marriage. One clarification can save a career.

Many of the problems we blame on people started with an assumption we never verified.

Don't let your mind write a story that facts would have corrected.

Rejoice Osunwoke: Assumption never solves anything.
Blessing Ojoma Onakpa: Well said. Assumptions often create problems that never existed in the first place. Taking the time to ask questions, listen, and verify can save relationships, opportunities, and unnecessary pain. Facts bring clarity; assumptions bring confusion. Thank you for sharing this important reminder.
Chinelo Jemimah: This is reflective, I assumed.” Two words that destroy so much. Wisdom asks, assumption guesses. This is powerful.
Comfort Yako Asala: The truth rarely fears a question, but an assumption relies on never asking one. Thank you for this insight Sir
