Seth MacFarlane, better known for creating the TV series 'Family Guy' had, through his travel agent was booked to travel with American Airlines Flight 11 on September 11,2001 from Boston to Los Angeles.

Seth had attended a late event on September 10 and had too much booze so overslept the next morning he was scheduled to travel.

By the time he got to the boarding gate it had been closed because he was 10 minutes late. All his entreaties did not persuade the official at the gate to reopen it for him. Instead he was rebooked for a second flight.

In anger he left but barely 45 minutes he watched in horror on TV as the same Flight 11 he missed slammed into the North Tower of the iconic World Trade Centre.
