IMF Names Nigeria Among Africa's Top Five AI-Ready Economies
Nigeria has been ranked among the five Sub-Saharan African economies best positioned to benefit from artificial intelligence, according to a new International Monetary Fund report that places the country alongside South Africa, Mauritius, Botswana and Namibia as regional frontrunners.
The finding appears in the IMF's departmental paper, "Unlocking the Potential: AI in Sub-Saharan Africa," authored by Martin Schindler, Nikola Spatafora and Andrew Tiffin of the Fund's African Department.
