It is time professionals in the built environment rose to the task of preventing this ugly trend of collapse and loss of lives by openly reporting distressed buildings, sharp practices in construction processes, and not looking away as though it doesn't concern them; the law empower them to do so. We can prevent this by speaking up through videos/pictures on social media platforms.
Developers/clients should always engage professionals at every stage of the process; it may be expensive but it's worth it as it saves lives and the building itself.
