Every Nigerian deserves protection under the law, and high-profile political figures should receive security based on objective risk assessments, not partisan considerations. If the government has met its legal obligations, the court should say so. If it has not, it should be required to comply. A healthy democracy is one in which elections are decided by voters, not by intimidation, violence, or fear.
